EMMET TRUXES, Founding Principal
Emmet leads residential design, detailing, permitting, and project coordination, working closely with clients, consultants, and builders from concept through construction.
Emmet grew up in Connecticut and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Princeton University in 2006 before receiving his Master in Architecture I from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2013. Prior to founding ASTVDIO, he worked for Centerbrook (Essex, CT), studioMDA (New York City), PPAA (Pérez Palacios Arquitectos Asociados) (Mexico City), and Nastasi Architects (Hoboken, NJ).
CLEMENTINA VINALS, Founding Principal
Clementina leads interiors, overseeing space planning, material selection, furnishings, and installation to ensure each project is cohesive and complete.
Clementina is a Venezuelan architect born and raised in Caracas. She received her Bachelors of Architecture at Universidad Central de Venezuela and Università degli studi di Roma "La Sapienza" in 2008 and her Masters of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2012. Before founding ASTVDIO, she worked in offices across many scales and disciplines of design, including Massimiliano Fuksas in Rome, her own practice in Caracas, SWA Group in Laguna Beach, Ashe + Leandro in New York, and Beyer Blinder Belle in NYC.
